Why should I order through The Collage Workshop?
Because we're the only ones who do what we do. There are other custom
collage companies out there, but nobody gives you a hand drawn collage.
Most of them will charge you hundreds of dollars to mix and match your
photos in Photoshop, which took one Photoshop class for them to learn
and an hour to perform. Also..Quality. If you look at those sites, most
of their work is sub-par with people floating around on the page like
ghostly apparitions over blurry background images. At the Collage Workshop,
each collage is laboriously hand drawn using pen and colored pencil for
a vibrant look that is so slick, you'll think it was done on a computer.
Each piece is literally an original work of art in the artist's collection.
No other piece will exist like it on Earth.
How long will it take to get my collage?
In general, it takes about two weeks to turn around a collage. Obviously
the time frame depends on how long it takes for us to get the information,
pictures and deposit and how backed up we are. Depending on the size of
the collage, they usually take between 3 to 7 days to draw and color.
Usually we will ask you for a delivery date ahead of time so we're all
on the same page.
How come my deposit isn't refundable?
Half of the collage process is the planning through a mock draft, which
will also be used as a replica for you to approve before the collage goes
into final production. This deposit serves two purposes, it covers the
time and work we did on our end to make the replica and it also ensures
you'll see how your collage is going to turn out before paying for it
in full.
What happens if I'm not happy with the replica?
If you've seen our gallery of past works, we're confident you'll be happy
with the replica, but we do understand you may want some changes. We can
accommodate one round of changes to any part of the collage, but any further
changes beyond that will require both parties discussing further payment.
At this point, you are also free to discontinue the project, but the 30%
deposit is non refundable.
Why does my replica not look like a drawing?
The speediest and most cost effective way for you to see a preview of
your collage is for us to plan it on a computer first. We will attempt
to add effects to the image to give you the best idea of what it will
look like, but keep our other works in mind while viewing your replica.
In the end, your collage will have the same look as those in our gallery.
Do I have to pay shipping?
Shipping rates do apply for any framed collages. Unframed collages are
free shipping.
What if I don't have a computer? How can I send e-mails and
photos?
That's fine, we can accept physical photos and information by mail; just
take that into consideration in turn around time. We may have to charge
an additional fee for scanning since we don't have a scanner at this time,
but just get in contact with us and we can discuss it further.
How do I pay for my collage?
Our preferred method of payment is through PayPal, but we know that's
not for everyone. We can also accept personal checks or money orders,
but please take into consideration the amount of time it takes for checks
to clear when estimating the timeline for your collage to be completed.
What format should my photos be in?
Please send us JPEG files and the bigger, the better. We generally like
to get a lot of photos so you may have to send them through yousendit.com
What type of frame and matt will my collage come with?
To keep it simple and due to website restrictions, we only offer black
frames with a white matte at this time. Further on down the road, our
goal is to offer colored frames and mattes to our customers. It will show
up at your door assembled however.
Can I order prints of my collage for family members?
Absolutely! Why should you be the only one with a collage to preserve
your memories? Give prints to your wedding party, give one to your parents
or hang a copy at work. Just contact us and we can send you prints of
the collage. Pricing will depend on the amount of prints and sizes.
What happens if my collage is damaged during shipping?
Hopefully this never happens, but if it does...just contact us so we can
discuss drawing another copy.
Can I have my collage made into wedding invitations, cards or
a puzzle?
Yes! Why not make a puzzle of your collage every anniversary? Fortunately,
the artist also happens to be a graphic designer and can accommodate most
of these requests. Just contact us so we can discuss pricing.
What if I decide NOT to go through with the collage for whatever
reason?
It would be a disappointment on our end, but we know that things come
up. All the replicas get saved in the computer so we can hold off on your
collage until you decide you want to go through with it. However, the
deposit is still non-refundable.
What if I like the Replica and want to keep my collage as photographs
instead of paying to have it drawn?
We can try to accommodate that, the only problem is the resolution. The
larger the collage, the more likely your final print will be blurry and
unappealing to the eye. This is something both parties will need to discuss
further to go over options.
